### Managing installs across devices

If you reach your device limit or want to free up a slot, you can manage installations from your Microsoft account:

1. Sign in at [account.microsoft.com](https://account.microsoft.com).
2. Go to **Services & subscriptions**.
3. Find your Microsoft 365 subscription and click **Manage**.
4. View installed devices and deactivate any you no longer use.

Deactivating a device does not uninstall the apps, but it stops them from receiving updates and may limit functionality until you sign in again on an active device.

### What to do if installation fails

If the installer does not start, hangs, or shows an error, try these steps before contacting support:

* Restart your computer and run the installer again.
* Temporarily disable antivirus software during installation, then re-enable it afterward.
* Use the official [Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant](https://aka.ms/SaRA_Home) to diagnose and fix common installation problems.
* Make sure your operating system is up to date. Microsoft 365 requires recent versions of Windows, macOS, iOS, or Android.

For persistent issues, visit [Microsoft Support](https://support.microsoft.com) for troubleshooting tools and official help articles.
